Summer Bucket List 2013

I'm pretty excited to join this linky!  A big thank you to April for hosting!  I love my summers, and better yet, I love dreaming about how productive and awesome my summers are going to be.  Things usually doesn't happen quite as planned, but this year they have to as I'll be getting ready to move to a new school.

At Home

I really want to start cleaning out our guest rooms.  I know this seems like everyone's goal throughout the summer, but I reallyreally want to get them organized and looking presentable.  My husband and I are hoping to start a family soon, and we'll need a place to put a kid!

I'd also like to be able to have a room that's not embarassing for people to sleep in, and maybe some space to finally set up and feed my scrapbooking addiction?

In the Classroom

As I am going to be starting at a new school, teaching a new subject, next year I have a LOT of things that need to happen.  My big one is to get a curriculum map up and going so that I can optimise my efficiancy and minimize my headaches.

I'm hoping to get super organized so that I can utilize math centers, and project based learning!

For Me

I really want to get into shape.  I know that's what every teacher says every summer; but I mean it.  I want to get to a place where I can be happy and healthy without being crazy.  My goal is to run with my sister in a marathon by the end of the summer.  We are going to work at it together so that it can become a reality.  I'm hoping that if I get into the good habits over the summer, I'll be able to keep it up throughout the school year.  Now that my school is only going to be 10 minutes rather than 40 minutes away from my house, there will be no excuse.
