Yes, I know it's Saturday, my darn photos took forever to get to me before I gave up and went to bed. :-P
This week was quite sad for me. I had to say good bye to the school I have been a part of for five years. I know that doesn't sound like a very long time in the world of education, but it was my first job. I've earned my stripes with these kids, and I've known my seventh graders since they were in third grade.
So my Five For Friday:

My diploma FINALLY came in! I know that I graduated blahblahblah, but it's nice to hold that little piece of paper. Plus, now I don't feel guilty signing MEd after my name!

My students were very sweet all week and brought my gifts! It was a ton of guilt tripping, but I REALLY appreciated the thought. It made me feel really loved.

One student even brought a cake! How thoughtful was that? I shared it with the kids of course.

I know how you feel. I left my first school last year and it was definitely bittersweet. Fortunately I only lived about 5 minutes from the school because I think I crammed 4 loads into my car before I had all my junk home! Fortunately, I had last summer to go through it, organize it and part with some of it.
Good luck in your new adventure! I found you through Five for Friday! I am your newest follower :)
